A pair of pivotal games, one each in girls and boys basketball will play out Friday night as teams fight for a Wasaren title with four games remaining.
On the girls side of things the Indians of Hoosic Valley at 8-2 pay a visit to Clums Corners to take on the 8-2 Tamarac Bengals. Both squads trail front running Hoosick Falls by a single game and the loser in this one will be dealt a serious blow in their quest for the league crown.
Tamarac prevailed 35-30 in the first meeting between the two clubs, and all things points towards another low scoring, highly contested affair in Tamarac tomorrow night.
For the boys the Stillwater Warriors at 10-0 play host to the 8-2 Panthers of Hoosick Falls. A loss by the Falls dashes their hopes for a title, but a win pulls them to within a game of the Panthers with three to play.
Also in the mix are the Red Raiders of Mechanicville at 8-2, who face Granville at home tomorrow. A Raider win coupled with a Warrior loss brings Mechanicville to within a game of Stillwater and the Warriors and Raiders face each other to end the regular season.
A pair of great runs in the league tomorrow night. Weigh in with your picks for two games that will go long ways in deciding the Wasaren champions.
