baseball

The Wasaren sent multiple baseball and softball teams into sectional games on Thursday and as is typically the case, they represented well.  A trio of league baseball and softball squads advanced with “W”s” and the league teams that went down in defeat both lost to a fellow Wasaren school.

Congratulations to Hoosic Valley’s Camille Coyne on being named Wasaren Sportsnet Player of the Week.

Camille put together some incredible numbers over the final eight days of the regular season to capture the award.

On May 8th the senior right-hander threw a  no-hitter with 13 K’s in a 4-0 victory over Hoosick Falls.  On May 12th it was a two-hit shutout while fanning 17 in a 1-0 “W” over Saratoga Catholic. Camille completed her run of dominance on the 15th firing another no-hitter and striking out 15 batters in a 4-1 win over Stillwater.

Congratulations Camille, our final Wasaren Sporstnet Player of the Week for the spring season.
