When I wrote a preseason article about Hoosic Valley football a couple of weeks back I remarked that running backs Tom Madigan and Isaac Sanchez were arguably the best running back tandem in the area. The Greenwich baseball team needed a win on Thursday in Granville to clinch the Wasaren title and Lukas Whitehouse made it happen. The senior pitcher threw a no-hitter while striking out nine as Greenwich posted an 11-0 victory to claim the league crown with a 13-1 mark.
On the softball side of things Greenwich and Hoosic Valley were both victorious and will share the Wasaren title with identical 12-2 records. Continue reading →
