Hoosic Valley Runs Past Granville

When I wrote a preseason article about Hoosic Valley football a couple of weeks back I remarked that running backs Tom Madigan and Isaac Sanchez were arguably the best running back tandem in the area.  After Saturday’s game in Granville that argument gained strength.  The two backs combined for 291 yards and six touchdowns as the Valley posted a 43-12 victory of Granville. Witches Earn Title Behind Whitehouse’s Gem

73_greenwichThe Greenwich baseball team needed a win on Thursday in Granville to clinch the Wasaren title and Lukas Whitehouse made it happen.  The senior pitcher threw a no-hitter while striking out nine as Greenwich posted an 11-0 victory to claim the league crown with a 13-1 mark.

On the softball side of things Greenwich and Hoosic Valley were both victorious and will share the Wasaren title with identical 12-2 records.  Continue reading
