It’s time to announce this week recipients of our Wasaren Player of the Week Award, and they are Hoosick Falls’ Erika Quackenbush, and Hoosic Valley’s Jon Colligan.

In the Panthers 5-3 victory on Friday over Granville Quackenbush not only picked up the win from the circle but ripped a three-run round tripper in the third frame.  Erika delivered on both sides of the ball allowing just four Granville hits, while delivering the game changer with her bat.

Colligan notched a complete game 2-1 victory over previously undefeated Greenwich on Tuesday moving the Valley into a first place tie with the Witches in the Wasaren.  Jon scattered eight hits, walked one, struck out a pair, and shut down the powerful Greenwich lineup after allowing the lone run in the first.
