The two remaining Wasaren teams were on the diamond Saturday as Greenwich took on Greenville looking to earn a Class C sectional title, while Hoosic Valley, Class B champs squared off with Class BB champion Schalmont.

Key Stat: Five of Greenwich’s six run were unearned, and Whitehouse goes the distance in the heat, as the Witches move on to face the Section X champion on Thursday, with the site to be determined.

Key Stat: Schalmont scores two in the third, and 2 in the sixth, and Mahar throws the shutout, working out of a base loaded jam in the fifth to earn the win as  Schalmont advances to regional play.
