While it was opening night of the football season, there was plenty of soccer action as well on Friday with three league matches.

Mechanicville 3  Tamarac 1:  Jeff Luce, Adam Urbaetis, and Marcus Tobin all found the back of the net for the Red Raiders in the victory. 

Connor Andrew scored for the Bengals.

Stillwater 2   Spa Catholic 0:  In a close game throughout, Grant Baker scored with 10:00 remaining on a nice find from Brody Cepiel, and Jake Zdonick added the clincher inside of a minute giving the Warriors the well earned “W”.

Cambridge 2   Hoosic Valley 0:  Cole Boggan and Patrick Robertson with goals, and keeper Cody Oldham with three saves led the Indians to the shutout victory over the Valley.
