
The Mechanicville soccer team continued it’s impressive start to the season on Saturday night with a 6-0 shutout victory over neighboring rival Hoosic Valley.
Capping a day of soccer recognition in Mechanicville the home squad went to work quickly scoring twice in the first ten minutes of play.
Goals by Chris Ciccarelli and Mike Cavota staked the Raiders to a 2-0 advantage, a lead they would take to intermission.
Mechanicville doubled down in the second half finding the range four times with strikes from Marcus Tobin, Bryan Farrell, Zach Rapaccioulo, and Ciccarelli, his second of the contest.
Mechanicville keeper Tyler Krazsewski with eight saves earned the shutout for the Raiders who with the win improve to a perfect 7-0 on the year.
