The Wasaren league has long been considered one of the premier small school conferences in New York state. Independent of the season, the league schedule is a gauntlet preparing teams well for post season success. Section II titles more times than not are decided with one, if not two league squads in the championship tilt. This spring will be no exception.
On Saturday Greenwich and Hoosic Valley notched baseball semifinal “W’s” in sectional play and will meet for the Class C championship on Tuesday at Joe Bruno stadium. One of the newest members to the Wasaren, Saratoga Catholic with a semifinal victory also punched their ticket to the finals in Class B where they’ll face off with Albany Academy on Wednesday at “The Joe”.
Another impressive post season run by Wasaren teams, something we’ve come to expect but should never fail to appreciate.
