Tuesday Results; Waterford, Greenwich Post Wins

In a match played at Fairways of Halfmoon the two squads decided the outcome using the tie-breaker system which totals the top three golfers scores, and Waterford-Halfmoon edged Tamarac 149-150.

Waterford’s Derrick Pontore led all golfers firing a 46, with other Fordian scores including Jonny Atwood 51, Dylan Day 52, Werkie Hayes 56 and Evan Kavosie with a score of 60.

Tamarac scores included Adam Quackenbush 48, Adam Rice and Nate Smith 51’s, Owen Glenn 54, Morgan Hayden 55 and Tommy Kane with a round of 60.

With the win Waterford-Halfmoon improves to 2-4 on the year.

 

Greenwich 3.5   Hoosick Falls 2.5

In another match that went to the tie breaker the Witches prevailed in action at the Battenkill Country Club.

The Falls Aiden Fleming carded the low round of 36 in the match with other Panthers scores including Brady Mann 37, Dylan Callahan 41, Jack Shea 46, Michael Plusch 51 and Devin Gauthier 60.

Greenwich scores were Sam Ziehm 42, Colby McCauliffe and Erik Wade 43, with Brayden Stutzman, Omar DeJesus and Jordan Young all finishing with rounds of 56.  

 

Loudonville 5   Waterford 4

Loudonville ran out to a 3-0 lead and hung on for the victory over the Fordians in soccer action Tuesday night in Waterford.

Trailing 3-0, Waterford got on the board just before the break on a PK by Josh Catanzarita cutting the advantage to 3-1 heading into the half.

Two more second-half goals by Catanzarita and a single strike from Waterford’s Tristan Carutasu drew the Fordians closer but they fell just short of coming all the way back.

Waterford keeper Logan Kelly saved 10 shots in the match.
