Hoosic Valley Tops Berlin/New Lebanon

In a Sunday match on a brand-new field at Berlin, defense took center stage with the two squads playing a scoreless first half.  After the break the defensive units continued to dominate until the Valley connected on the game winner with 15:00 to play, when the Hawks center midfielder Landon Reilly slotted a seam pass to Isaac Wiley who put away the eventual decider as the Valley came away with the road “W”.

Both keepers played well in the match with Mountaineer Tyler Shuhart and the Hawks Dem Neary making several outstanding saves.

Neary finished with five saves and combined with the Valley defense for the clean sheet.
