Friday Night Results: Stillwater Shuts Outs Cambridge/Salem

Stillwater 40   Cambridge/Salem 0

Stillwater put points on the board in every quarter while holding C/S scoreless in posting the one-sided decision in Stillwater on Friday night.

Lukas Lilac and Jaxon Mueller both rushed for over 100 yards with Mueller finding the end zone three times and Lilac twice. 

Thomas McDonough added a 39-yard scoring run, for Stillwater while James Cocozzo had a monster game defensively with eight tackles, three fumble recoveries and an interception. 

Stillwater led 7-0 at the quarter break and took total control over the middle two frames with a pair of touchdowns in each period on the way to their fourth win in as many outings.

Tamarac/Hoosick Falls 40   Tamarac 12

The Wildcats rushed for 290 yards and outgained the host squad nearly 2-1 in total yards in notching the comfortable victory over the Sir Bills.

The Wildcats Richie Stifter scored three times including an 85-yard kick-off return and rushing and receiving touchdowns to lead the offense.

Andrew Sparks scored on runs of 22 and 49 yards and finished with 147 rushing yards while Wildcat quarterback Sam Fauler threw for 127 yards and a touchdown.

With the road “W” Hoosick Falls/Tamarac goes to 4-0 on the season.

Ravena 41   Mechanicville/Hoosic Valley 6

 

Waterford 8   Hoosick Falls 0

Mia O’Brien led the way for the Fordians with a hat trick and she had plenty of help in Waterford’s easy home “W” over the Panthers.

Addyson Galuski with a pair of goals and Payton Galuski, Imani Bloomfield and Cassidy McClement with single strikes rounded out the Waterford attack.

Fordian keeper Maddy Atwood needed just two saves in posting the shutout.

Cambridge 2   Tamarac 1

After a scoreless first half of play, Cambridge’s Sam Crandall and Mia Alpy found the back of the net with second half tallies and Cambridge held on for the narrow home victory over the Bengals.

Katie Groos connected after the break for Tamarac.

Cambridge keeper Lexie Pedersen saved eight shots in the match while Bengals keeper Ragan Ratell turned back seven. 

Hoosic Valley 4   Emma Willard 3

Hannah Coffin rang the bell four times for Hoosic Valley with three long range connections in leading the Valley past Emma Willard on Friday.

Hawks keeper Sophie Svec saved six shots in the win.

Stillwater 6   Berlin/New Lebanon 0

Stillwater scored three times in each half in cruising to the home win over the Mountaineers.

Elliot Patenaude connected for goals in both halves, while Lucy Rubinstein tallied twice before the break and Brooke Hogdson added two more after halftime to round out the Stillwater attack.

Mirand Price and Charisma Salecker along with the Stillwater “D” combined for the clean sheet.

Spa Catholic 6   Granville 1

The Saints score four times after intermission, pulling away for the non-league win over Granville.

Bobby Cousineau led the Saints with a hat trick, with Aiden Crowther, Zach Streicher and Will Boisclair adding single goals.

Mechanicville 3   Hoosick Falls 2

In a match played at the Mechanicville Golf Club Hoosick Falls picked up points in flights one and two, but the home squad swept flights 3-5 to claim the narrow win over the Panthers.

Aiden Fleming and Dylan Callahan won their matches for the Falls with Fleming’s round of 37 the low score on the day.

Jack Salvadore, Logan Starks and Connor Dion earned the Mechanicville points in the showdown between the Wasaren’s top two squads.  

With the win Mechanicville moves to 13-0 on the year and Hoosick Falls with the loss goes to 7-3.

Greenwich 5   Tamarac 0

Greenwich swept past Tamarac in action at the Battenkill with the Witches Erik Wade carding the low round of 38 to lead the way.

Sam Ziehm, Omar DeJesus, Brayden Stutzman and Colby McCauliffe all won individual matches for Greenwich who with the win improve to 7-4 on the season.

Tamarac slips to 4-6 on the season with the loss.  

Spa Catholic 3   Waterford 2

Jacob Hajos showed the way with a round of 40 in the Saints win at Fairways at Halfmoon on Friday.

Other scores for Spa Catholic included Mark Mahay 46, Jason Pescetti 57, and Cole Cefalu with a round of 59.

Waterford scorers were Derrick Pontore 46, Evan Cavosie 48, Billy Scunzianio 50, and Dylan Day’s round of 54.   

With the win the Saints even their season mark at 4-4 while Waterford slips to 2-9 on the campaign.
