Tuesday Results: Waterford Continues to Roll, Mechanicville Remains Unbeaten

Payton Galuski connected on four goals and the Fordians pitched the shutout, as Waterford earned the road “W” over the Mountaineers on Tuesday.

Two Galuski scores came on feeds from Bayly Beauregard, while two were unassisted tallies.

Imani Bloomfield finished with a goal and an assist, with Cassidy McClement and Mia O’Brien adding single scoring strikes for the Fordians.

Waterford keeper Maddy Atwood needed just three saves in posting the clean sheet, while Mountaineer goaltender Rebecca Madsen, under fire throughout, stopped 21 shots in the match. 

 

Stillwater 4   Tamarac 1

Protecting a slim 2-1 lead at the break, Stillwater pulled away with a pair of second half strikes in notching the road win over the Bengals of Tamarac.

Stillwater built a 2-0 cushion on goals from Brooke Hodgson and Bridgett Coon, before Kendall Bullson found the range for Tamarac sending the teams into the break with the visitors holding a 2-1 advantage.

In the 64th minute Hodgson finished an Elliot Patenaude find, giving Stillwater some breathing at 3-1.

One minute later it was Patenaude connecting on an unassisted tally and from there Stillwater closed out the victory.

Stillwater keeper Charisma Salecker saved one shot in the match, while Tamarac keeper Ragan Retell saved nine.  

 

Mechanicville 6   Scotia-Glenville   (Monday)

Mechanicville took control with five second-half scores in earning the non-league win in Mechanicville on Monday.

Marissa Krosky rang the bell four times for Mechanicville while Maddy Hopeck connected once for the home squad.

Mechanicville keeper Ava Grimmick needed just one save in posting the shutout, her counterpart Julie Cooper saved 16 shots for Tamarac.

 

Mechanicville 5   Spa Catholic 0

Nate Salvadore’s round of 35 led the way in the Mechanicville sweep of the Saints in action at the Mechanicville Golf Club on Tuesday.

Joining Salvadore with match wins were teammates Matthew Salvadore, Logan Starks, Connor Dion, Jacob Pickett and Ben Amado.

With the “W” Mechanicville remains unbeaten on the season with a record of 15-0.  

 

Hoosick Falls 4.5   Hoosic Valley .5

Aiden Fleming fired a 2-under par round of 34, in the Falls win over the Valley at the Battenkill Country Club on Monday.

Top scorers for Hoosick Falls included Jack Shea 47, Dylan Callahan and Devin Gauthier with 48’s and Zach Houghton with a round of 51.

Scores for Hoosic Valley showed Matt Wager’s 41, Keegan Antolick and Chris Tracy with 53’s, and Ryan Morrissey who carded a 54 in the match.
