Friday Morning Recap:Fordians Trounce Bengals, Mechanicville Tops the Valley

Waterford 13   Tamarac 0

Six Fordians scored and keeper Maddy Atwood, (three saves), and the Waterford defense posted a clean sheet for the fifth straight match, in the home victory over the Bengals Thursday night.

Payton Galuski and Cassidy McClement both finished with hat tricks, Addy Galuski, Mia O’Brien and Riley Noto all connected twice, while Alondra Collet-Cruz added a single tally in the route.  

 

Waterford 9   Emma Willard 0     (Wednesday)

Addy Galuski led the Waterford attack finding the net four times in the shutout “W” of Emma Willard on Wednesday. 

Joining the scoring parade for Waterford were Payton Galuski with a pair of goals, and Mia O’Brien , Cassidy McClement and Bayly Beauregard who all connected one time with scoring strikes. 

 

Stillwater 3   South Glens Falls 0

After a scoreless first half Stillwater dominated the action after the break scoring three times while the defense completed the shutout in the non-league win over South High. 

Stillwater Elliot Patenaude ended the scoring drought in the 47th minute, finishing a Brooke Coon feed for the 1-0 advantage.  

In the 72nd minute Sofia Pemiciaro gave Stillwater some breathing room when she found the back of the net off a Karissa Mitchell find, and seven minutes later the same combo doubled down with the final goal of the match.

Stillwater keepers Miranda Price, one save, and Charisma Salecker with a pair of saves combined for the shutout.  

South High’s Elena Kennedey stopped 10 shots for the Bulldogs in the loss.

 

Mechanicville 13   Hoosic Valley 0

Nine players scored for Mechanicville in the one-sided decision over Hoosic Valley.

Maddie Hopeck, Anna Izzo, Marissa Krosky and Isabella Raucci all rang the bell twice for the home squad, while Ava Charbonneau, Evie Dowd, Tanner Eiseman, Ava Gaspie, and Gianna Pitts all connected once for Mechanicville. 

 

 

Mechanicville 8   Hoosic Valley 0

Tommy Wendel connected on five scoring strikes to lead Mechanicville past Hoosic Valley on Thursday night.

Will Coreno, Jacob Eiseman, and Ethan Raucci added single tallies for Mechanicville, while keeper Joey Devito needed just two saves in posting the shutout for the home squad.  

With the win Mechanicville moves to 8-1-1 on the season.  

 

Hoosick Falls 4   Spa Catholic 1

Aiden Fleming fired the low round of 36, leading the Panthers past Saratoga Catholic in Wasaren golf action on Thursday.
