Boys Soccer: Mechanicville Posts Dominant Win Over Glens Falls

Mechanicville built a 2-0 lead by intermission and rang the bell three more times in the second half in posting the 5-1 “W” over Glens Falls in the season-opener.

Mechanicville opened the first half scoring on a Cruz Goverski header off a Logan Starks corner kick and minutes later Scotty Lynch split the posts on an indirect free kick from just outside the box giving Mechanicville a 2-0 advantage which they took into the break.

Mechanicville found the range three more times in the second half with Ethan Raucci, Graham Murphy and Landon Bronson all connecting on scoring tallies. 

Late in the match Glens Fals avoided the shutout when Gavin Rittenhouse found the back of the net for the Bears.

Mechanicville keepers Mark Pingelski and Cam Morton combined for three saves in the win while Tucker Trippiedi turned back seven shots for Glens Falls.
