Holding a 2-1 lead at the break, Mechanicville scored four times after intermission to notch the high scoring “W” over the Blackbirds of Voorheesville.

Ethan Raucci led the Mechanicville attack with a hat trick while, Cruz Goverski, Scotty Lynch and Rece Dyer connected on single tallies.  Dyer assisted on a pair of scores with Lynch and Logan Starks assisting on a goal apiece.  

Eric Guilmette led Voorheesville with a pair of scores and Connor McMillian added a goal as well.

Mechanicville keeper Mark Pingelski saved three shots in the win.

Stillwater 3   O’Neil 0

Stillwater rode a stout defense and timely scoring to the non-league win over O’Neil in Stillwater on Saturday.

Brooke Coon and Hodgson staked the home squad to a 2-0, first half lead, and a single scoring strike by Sofia Perniciario off a Coon feed, midway through the second half capped the scoring in the match.

Stillwater keepers Miranda Price and Ally Liamero combined with the Stillwater defense for the clean sheet.

Stillwater moves to 2-0 on the young season with the “W”.

The Panthers Aiden Fleming fired a one over par 37 to claim medalist honors and lead the Falls to their season-opening victory over Stillwater in golf action at Saratoga Lake Golf Club.

Top scores for Hoosick Falls included Dylan Callahan 42, Spencer Tate 44, Brady Mann 46, Devin Gauthier 47, Jack Shea 48, Aidyn Degraff 50 and Zach Houghton with a round of 51.

Top Stillwater scores included Tye Morris 44, Logan Pickett 46, Julian Peluso 48, Nick Rose 49, with Daniel Degrasse-Izzo and Myles Marinello both carding rounds of 54.

Hoosick Falls with play four straight days of matches next week starting with a home match on Monday when they welcome in the Fordians of Waterford,
