Mechanicville Moves to 7-0, Stillwater Tops Glens Falls

Jack Salvadore carded the low round of 39 leading Mechanicville past Greenwich at the Mechanicville Golf Club on Thursday.

Joining Salvadore in the winner’s circle were teammates Logan Starks, Nate Salvadore, Jacob Pickett and Ben Amato.  

In flight one Mechanicville’s Matt Salvador and Greenwich’s Eric Wade finished all square, splitting the point.

With the win Mechanicville moves to 7-0 on the season.

 

Stillwater 2   Glens Falls 1

Stillwater tallied once in both halves and their defense kept Glens Falls off the board until late in the match, in notching the non-league victory under the lights in Stillwater.

Stillwater took the lead in the 39th minute when Brooke Hodgson found the range giving the hosts a 1-0 lead which they rode into the break.

Stillwater doubled down on the one score advantage in the 74th minute when Bridget Coon finished an Emersyn Patenaude find for the two-goal cushion. 

Two minutes later the visitors got on the board when Parker Welch connected as the Falls pulled to within one, but Stillwater closed the door for the remainder and posted the home “W”.

With the victory Stillwater’s season mark improves to 3-0-1.
