Mechanicville built a 2-0 lead before the break, and pulled away with three, second half scores downing the Fordians of Waterford under the lights in Mechanicville.

Declan Charette and Graham Murphy connected on first half tallies, while Scotty Lynch with a single strike and Ethan Raucci with a pair of goals rounded out the home squad’s attack.

Mechanicville keeper Mark Pingelski saved five shots and combined with the Mechanicville defense for the clean sheet.

Logan Kelley turned back four shots four the Fordians in the loss.

C/S’s Luke Leblanc scored a hat trick to lead the way to the road win over the Panthers.

Ethan Eldred added a single tally for C/S and keeper Quinn Keegan and the C/S defense combined for a third straight shutout.

Corinth 2   Greenwich 0

In a scoreless battle through most of the match, Corinth broke through with a pair of goals in the final eight minutes to earn the road win over the Witches on Monday night.

The Tomahawks Tyler Smolinski, off a Luca Giaculli find, broke the scoreless deadlock, and with two minutes remaining, Smolinski’s second tally of the match put the game away. 

Corinth keeper Owen Baker saved three shots on the night, while Greenwich keeper Jack Scieszka turned back 11 shots for the Witches.  

Stillwater 2   Hoosic Valley 1     

In a game tied at the break, Stillwater connected on the game-winner late in the second half giving the visitors the road win in Schaghticoke.    No other info

After first half strikes from B/NL’s Haley Jones and the Valley’s Hannah Coffin, the defensive units took control shutting down the opposition and sending the game into extra sessions.

In overtime it was Coffin with the game-winner, finding the back of the net on a PK, giving the Valley the hard-fought road “W”. 

Valley keeper Lily Reupp saved 8 shots in the win while Emma Shorter and Charlie Young combined to stop four shots for B/NL.

Mechanicville 5   Tamarac 0

Matt Salvadore fired the low round of 34 to lead Mechanicville past Tamarac in golf action at the Mechanicville Golf Club on Monday.

Joining Salvadore in the winner’s circle were teammates Logan Starks, Jack and Nate Salvadore, Jacob Pickett and Ben Amado.

With the win Mechanicville moves to 8-0 on the year while Tamarac falls to 2-3.

The Fordians’ Jonny Atwood showed the way with the low round of 39 in the victory over Cambridge at Fairways of Halfmoon.

Along with Atwood, Dylan Day 41, Landon Pitcher 43, Billy Scunziano 47, Tanner Macia 48 and Evan Cavosie 51 all earned individual match wins.  

Spa Catholic 3   Greenwich 2

The Witches Erik Wade claimed medalist honors with a round of 34, but the Saints posted wins in flights 3-6 to notch the victory at the Battenkill Country Club on Monday.

Spa’s Cole Sefealu, Landon Lockrow, JP, Galarneau and Jordan Young all picked up wins for the visitors, while Wade and Sam Ziehm earned points for Greenwich. 

With the “W” Saratoga Catholic improves to 3-2 on the season while Greenwich slips to 3-4 on the year.
