Mechanicville used single goals in each half to notch the road win over Stillwater on Thursday night.

Maddie Hopeck connected on a first-half strike, while teammate Emma Andrews with a second-half tally rounded out the Mechanicville scoring. 

Mechanicville Ava Grimmick saved four and combined with the Mechanicville defense for the shutout.

Stillwater keepers Miranda Price and Ally Liamero combined for six saves in the match.  

With the win Mechanicville improves to 4-0-1 on the year while Stillwater goes to 5-1-1 with the loss.

Tamarac’s Kendall Bulson connected on the only score of the match leading Tamarac to the home win over B/NL.

Cambridge 0    Hoosic Valley 1    2OT

In a scoreless match through regulation and overtime sessions, defensive units ruled with Valley keeper Lili Ruepp saving 17 shots and Cambridge keeper Lexie Petersen turning away 22 attempts in the deadlock at Cambridge.

Greenwich 3.5   Stillwater 1.5

The Witches Erik Wade fired a round of 38, earning medalist honors and leading Greenwich past Stillwater in golf action at the Battenkill Country Club on Thursday.

Sam Ziehm, Omar Dejesus and Peter Wade all won individual matches for the Witches.

Stillwater’s Logan Pickett earned a win in flight two, while Stillwater’s Nick Rose and Greenwich’s Richie Coon halved the point in flight five.

With the win Greenwich improves to 5-4 on the year.    

Berlin New Lebanon 6   Spa Catholic 1    Wednesday

Anna Hart connected on a pair of scoring strikes, leading B/NL to the road victory over the Saints of Saratoga Catholic.

Haylee Jones, Madison Bell and Alex Pierce all added single tallies for B/NL, and keeper Charlie Young saved four shots in the win.
