M/HV built a commanding 35-6 advantage by halftime and cruised to a Class B North divisional win over Scotia in Mechanicville on Thursday night.  

M/HV rode a dominant ground game to the victory rushing for 485 yards on 45 carries.

Leading the way were Jordan Barnes with 200 yards on 11 carries, Marcus Robinson 124 yards on 12 rushes and DiMaggio Ferrara 90 yards on 10 totes.  

AJ Messercola threw a touchdown pass and Carson Beattie returned an interception 97 yards for a score for M/HV.

With the win Mechanicville/Hoosic Valley moves to 4-0 on the year.

Waterford 8    Berlin /New Lebanon 0

Five different Fordians split the posts in Waterford’s one-sided decision over B/NL on Thursday night.

Payton Galuski with a hat trick, Logan Sheehan with a pair of goals and Jake Catanzarita, Conner Belonga and Blake Guertin with single tallies led the Fordian assault.

Waterford keeper Logan Kelley combined with the Fordian defense for the shutout.

B/NL keepers Jack Healy and Gabriel Smith combined for 17 saves in the loss.
