Wasaren Girls Soccer: Mechanicville, Cambridge Notch Shutout “W’s”

Seven different Mechanicville players split the posts with all seven scores coming before the break in a comfortable road win in Schaghticoke.

Madison Daley, Mia Beyer, Arianna Scheel, Tanner Eiseman, Maddy Hopeck, Evie Dowd and Elle Richardson all tallied for Mechanicville who move to 7-0-1 on the year with the victory.

 

Waterford 3   Tamarac 0

The Fordians built a 3-0 lead by halftime and the Waterford defense pitched a shutout in Waterford on Thursday night.

Bayley Beauregard connected for a pair of goals and Mia O’Brien added a single strike to lead the Fordian attack.

 

Cambridge 7   Hadley Luzerne 0

Cambridge took control with three, first-half tallies and added four more after the break in the home “W” on Senior Night at Cambridge.

Emily Desouza, and Lainey Wilkins connected on two goals each, while Kelly Sweet, Jessica Cofresi, and Jillian Robinson all added singles strikes.

Lexie Pedersen needed just one save in the match for Cambridge while Hadley Luzerne keeper Alyssa Sheff, under fire all day, turned back 32 shots in the game. 

 

Greenwich 5   Hoosick Falls 1

Holding a 1-0 lead at intermission, the Witches connected four times over the second half of play, pulling away for the road win over the Panthers.

Julia Scambelluri staked Greenwich to a 1-0 advantage early on an unassisted tally, but after the break Eliza McQueen, Sarah Radovich, Taylor Poovey and McKenna Lyndaker all found the back of the net as the visitors took control.

Hoosick Falls avoided the shutout when Elizabeth DeRosa scored on a penalty kick.

Greenwich keeper Oliveah Rieszel saved three shots in the game while Panther keepers Lucy Haynes and Chaya Roden combined to stop five attempts in the match.
