In the Wasaren golf league tournament held on Thursday at the Saratoga Spa State Park golf course, Mechanicville edged Hoosick Falls to earn the conference championship.

All schools from the league sent four golfers to compete with everyone playing a round of 18 holes with the top three rounds for each team tabulated for the team’s total score.

When the dust settled it was Mechanicville on top with a score of 229, followed by Hoosick Falls with a tally of 232, Spa Catholic at 250 and Greenwich rounding out the top four at 251.

Individually the Falls Aiden Fleming carded the low round of 73, one shot in front of Mechanicville’s Logan Starks at 74, with Starks teammate Jack Salvadore firing a round of 75.
