Key Stat:  The Falls led 24-8 after the first frame.

Take Away:  The Falls played a complete game in the nonleague win holding their guests to 31 points on the defensive end, while offensively putting three players in double digits and shooting a sterling 12 of 15 from the free throw line.

Key Stat:  Mechanicville outscored Cohoes 27-19 after the break.

Take Away:  In a close game throughout, Mechanicville used a 15-9 advantage in the fourth 23 hits from the charity strip on the night in notching the home win over Cohoes.

Key Stat:  Stillwater outscored Maple Hill 28-16 over the middle two frames.

Take Away:  Trailing 17-6 after the first period, Stillwater chipped away over the next two quarters and took a 34-33 lead into the fourth.  The two squads were knotted at the end of regulation forcing an extra session, where Stillwater prevailed with Wagner and Schneller bottoming big threes in overtime.

Stillwater’s Rocco Schneller was named tournament MVP and teammate Mason Wagner was an all-tourney team selection.

Key Stat:  The Witches held a 12-4 advantage in made threes.

Take Away:  Greenwich won each of the first three quarters, building a 52-27 lead heading into the final frame where they closed out the win over the #2 ranked Class A team in the state, in the Amsterdam College Showcase on Friday.

Take Away:  Spa puts four players in doubles and cruises to the first-round win in their holiday tournament.  The Saints will face Schuylerville in the title game on Saturday at 7:30. With the win Spa Catholic moves to 7-1, 4-0 on the year.

Take Away:  In a Coaches vs. Cancer game at Union College, Mechanicville used an 18-6 second period to build a 32-21 lead by the break, on their way to the nonleague win over Fonda on Saturday.  Mechanicville put three players in doubles in the win, moves to 3-2 on the year and will return to action on January 2nd when they’ll host Berlin/New Lebanon in a 7:00 run.

Key Stat:  Hoosic Valley held Stillwater to 18 first-half points then after the break Stillwater limited the Valley to 13 second-half points.

Take Away:  In a defensive battle that saw Hoosic Valley build a 29-18 halftime lead that quickly evaporated, the visitors from Schaghticoke hung on for the one-point road win.
