Key Stat:  The Valley outscored Cambridge 33-20 over the middle two frames.  

Take Away:  Trailing 14-6 after the first period, the visitors from Schaghticoke took the lead by halftime, extended their cushion in the third quarter and closed out the Cambridge down the stretch for the road win.

 

Mechanicville 62   Hoosick Falls 51

Leading Scorers:  Mechanicville – Chris Couser 21     Cruz Goverski 16    Logan Starks 9, 3 3’s      Panthers – Richie Stifter 16    Brady Mann 10

Key Stat:  Mechanicville held a 9-2 advantage in made threes.  

Take Away:  Mechanicville trailing 47-46 with 7:00 remaining went on a 16-0 run over the next 4:00 to take control and notch the home “W” over the Falls. 

 

Greenwich 70   Stillwater 66

Leading Scorers:  Witches – Joe Skiff 15    Cal Curtis 12    Colin Tarver 10    Joe Radovich 10       Stillwater – Mason Wagner 22, 5 3’s    John Williams 12

Key Stat:  Greenwich connected on 24 of 34 free throws while the Stillwater converted 12 of 22 from the stripe.

Take Away:  The Witches led 55-40 entering the fourth frame and held off Stillwater over the final eight minutes to post the home victory.  

 

Tamarac 76   Waterford 29

Leading Scorers:  Bengals – Sam Kuiken 22    Kamerin Edmonds 15    Dylan Ryan 10    Jacob Rice 10     Fordians – Logan Kelly 9

Key Stat:  The Bengals held Waterford to single, scoring numbers in every period.

Take Away:  Tamarac built a 31-12 advantage by the break and cruised to the win over the Fordians, moving to 3-0, 1-0 on the season.  

 

Spa Catholic 71   Berlin/New Lebanon 17

Leading Scorers:  Saints – Ronan Rowe 13, 3 3’s   B. Perenson 12    J. Thompson 11           B/NL – Anthony Ray 7

Key Stat:  The Saints defensively allowed just 17 points, and none over the final eight minutes.

Take Away:  Spa Catholic dominated from the jump, put three players in doubles, and rolled to the home “W” Friday night in Saratoga.
