Wasaren Girls Basketball: Stillwater Rolls Over Mechanicville, Price Reaches Scoring Milestone

Key Stat:   Stillwater held a 7-1 advantage in made threes.  

Take Away:  Stillwater won every quarter, consistently turning over Mechanicville and scoring in transition. Leading 27-12 at the break Stillwater put the game away with a 25-9 third frame.  The host squad saw four players hit double figures including Miranda Price who scored a transition bucket with 0:11 remaining in the contest to reach the 1000 career point mark. 

With the victory Stillwater moves to 6-1, 9-1 on the year.

Leading Scorers:  Bengals – Kayla Beaudoin 17, 10 assists, 8 rebounds     Morgan Hayden 17      Becky Barbera 15        Tigers – Claire Toleman 9   

Key Stat:  Tamarac won each of the first three quarters.

Take Away:  The Bengals built a 26-16 lead by halftime, extended their cushion to 45-30 after three frames and closed things out for the road win in Cambridge. 

Tamarac moves to 5-1, 8-2 on the season with the “W”.

Take Away:  Trailing 14-8 after the first eight minutes, the Panthers held their guests to 17 points the rest of the way in notching the come-from-behind victory Monday night.
