Key Stat:  Mechanicville connected on 15 of 26 free throws while Tamarac took just five trips to the stripe, connected on all five attempts.  

Take Away:  Mechanicville built a 25-18 lead by the break and after an even third period survived a fourth quarter run by the Bengals to post the home win.  

Greenwich 74   Spa Catholic 30

Leading Scorers:  Witches – Brooke Kuzmich 31       Bailee Wolfe 22 3, 3’s            Saints – Addison Whitbeck 12       Sophia Ryan 10

Key Stat:  Greenwich opened with a 29-4 first frame.

Take Away:  The #1 ranked Class C team in the state had little trouble securing the road “W” and moved to 11-0, 17-0 with the win.

 

Cambridge 72   Hoosick Falls 67   OT

Key Stat:  Cambridge was clutch from the charity stripe connecting on 18 of 22 attempts.

Take Away:  In a high scoring affair that saw both teams put four players in doubles, Cambridge outscored their hosts 12-7 in the extra session to capture the road win.

Saints, Panthers Notch Wins

Key Stat:  The Falls opened the game with a 20-0 run.

Take Away:  The host squad started fast and cruised to the comfortable “W” on Senior Night in Hoosick Falls.  With the victory the Falls go to 10-1, 15-2 on the season.  

 

Saratoga Catholic 60   Greenwich 48   (Saturday)

Leading Scorers:  Saints – Tyler Hicks 23 4, 3’s       Ronan Rowe 15 5, 3’s         Witches – Joe Skiff 20 3, 3’s    Ethan Mullen 11

Key Stat:  The Saints outscored Greenwich 16-5 in the final frame.

Take Away:  Holding the slimmest of margins at 44-43 entering the final period, Spa Catholic used a big fourth quarter to get past the Witches and stay unbeaten in Wasaren play.  With the home “W” the Saints move to 11-0, 16-1 on the year.  

Stillwater Downs Hoosic Valley

Key Stat:  Stillwater held the Valley to single scoring numbers in each of the first three frames.

Take Away:  The visitors use a big defensive effort to notch the road win in Schaghticoke.
