Stillwater 4    Maple Hill 0

Stillwater girls opened their season in style, scoring a pair of goals in each half while defensively pitching a shutout in the 4-0 victory over Maple Hill.

Emersyn Patenaude got the scoring started splitting the posts off a Brooke Coon find and later in the half it was Bridget Coon finishing a Brooke Hodgson feed staking Stillwater to a 2-0 advantage heading into the break.

In the second half Bridget Hodgson joined the scoring parade connecting on an unassisted tally and Patenaude wrapped up the day with her second goal of the match, again coming off a Brooke Coon assist.

Stillwater keeper Ally Liamero saved six shots and combined with the Stillwater defense for the clean sheet.

 

Cambridge 3   Waterford 2

Cambridge’s Luke MacDougal fired a three-over round of 37 to lead Cambridge to the narrow victory over the Fordians in action at the Hoosick Falls Country Club on Wednesday.

Jonny Atwood earned a point for Waterford with a match win in flight three, and Cambridge’s Corbin Hall notched a point for the home squad with a win in flight four.

In flight two Waterford’s James Beagle and Cambridge’s Landon Pitcher split the point as did Waterford’s Tanner Machia and Cambridge’s Connor Genevick in flight five.

With the win Cambridge moves to 1-2 on the year and Waterford suffers their first loss of the year and goes to 3-1 on the season.
