Greenwich 1   Bolton 0

Throughout a scoreless first half and much of the second half defense took center stage in this nonleague matchup.   With 20 minutes remaining Greenwich connected off their fifth corner kick of the match when Wyatt Skiff sent a rocket that seemed online for a score but Colin Traver crashing hard made sure and the Witches came away with the 1-0 victory.

Jack Scieszka saved 4 shots for Greenwich while Bolton keeper Maris Martin turned back five shots in defeat.

 

Stillwater 2   Schuylerville 1

Stillwater used a goal early, and another late to post the narrow “W” over Schuylerville in Stillwater on Friday.

Brooke Hodgson started the scoring just 2:30 into the first half finishing a Brooke Coon find for the 1-0 Stillwater lead.

The visitors knotted things at the 48:40 mark on an Alexandrea Hill tally, but 20 seconds later Stillwater regained the lead on Hodgson’s second strike of the match, again coming off a Coon feed and Stillwater closed things out from there to secure the win.

Stillwater keeper Ally Liamero turned back 11 shots in the victory and Black Horse keeper Theresa Allen saved five in the loss.

 

Mechanicville 5   Waterford 37

Matt Salvadore continued the heater he’s been on firing the low round of 37 in Mechanicville’s shutout “W” over Waterford in action at the Mechanicville Golf Club on Friday.

Joining Salvadore in the winner’s circle were teammates Ben Amato, Colton Rinaldi, Brody Landy and Vinnie Taylor all posting individual match wins.

Mechanicville stays perfect on the year moving to 5-0 with the victory, while Waterford slips to 3-2 on the season.

 

Hoosick Falls 4   Hoosic Valley 1

Dylan Callahan earned medalist honors carding a one-over 35 leading the Panthers past the Valley at the Hoosick Falls Country Club on Thursday.

Top scores for the Falls included Spencer Tate 39, Jack Shea 40, Quinn Haynes 43, Zach Houghton 44, Memphis Hathaway and Lincoln Colvin with rounds of 58.

Top Valley scores included Keegan Antolick 37, Craig D’Avella and Ryan Morrisey with rounds of 45, Jackson Schram 46, and Owen Harder and Reid Ricciardone with nine-hole scores of 47. 

 

Hoosick Falls 4.5   Spa Catholic .5

Spencer Tate with the low round of 41 led the way in the Panther victory on Friday at Saratoga Spa Golf Course.

Low scores for Hoosick Falls included Jack Shea 43, Dylan Callahan 44, Quinn Haynes 45, Aidyn Degraff 46 and Zach Houghton with a round of 47.

Top scores for the Saints were Mark Mahay and JP Galarneau with 43’s, Cole Cefalu and Jack Rosborough  with 49’s, and Jason Pescetti with a round of 54.

With the win the Falls moves to 4-1 on the season.

 

Cambridge/Salem 3.5   Hoosic Valley 1.5

Cambridge’s Luke MacDougal carded a one-over 35 claiming medalist honors in action at the Hoosick Falls Country Club on Friday.

James Beagle and Corbin Hall earned points for Cambridge with match wins in flights 2 and 4, with Owen Harder picking up a point for the Valley in flight 3.

Cambridge’s Connor Genevick and Hoosic Valley’s Ryan Morrisey split the point in flight 5, as did Cambridge’s Cody Donisthrope and the Valley’s Reid Ricciardone in flight 6.
