Wasaren Girls Soccer: Valley Tops Emma Willard

Hannah Coffin with a pair of goals and Payton Gela with a single strike provided the offense and the Valley defense did the rest in the Hawks victory in Schaghticoke.

Coffin gave the Valley a 1-0 lead, finishing a Kaylee Smith feed and added her second goal of the match on an unassisted scoring strike. 

Later in the game Smith found Gela who found the back of the net for the final tally.

Valley keeper Lily Ruepp saved eight shots in the win.  

Tamarac 1   Cambridge 0

Kendall Bulson connected with a second half tally and the Bengal defense made it stand in Tamarac’s road win over the Tigers.

Bengal keeper Lilly Onorato saved eight shots in the win, while Cambridge goaltender Lexie Pedersen turned away 26 shots in the loss.

Waterford 7   Hoosick Falls 0

Mia O’Brien led the way with a hat trick in the Fordians comfortable win over the Falls on Tuesday under the lights in Waterford.

Emily Faniff, Piper Morris, Bayly Beauregard, and Sophia Ledtke added single goals in the Waterford victory.

Fordian keeper Isabella Ramundo saved five shots and combined with the Waterford defense to post the shutout.

Mechanicville 5   Greenwich 1

Leading 2-1 at the break Mechanicville scored three unanswered after intermission to notch the road win on Tuesday night.

Gianna Pitts led the visitors attack with a hat trick while teammate Tanner Eiseman added a pair of scores.

Greenwich avoided the shutout when Penny Allen connected with a first half tally.

Mechanicville keeper Christna Bornt saved seven shots in the win and Witches goaltender Oliveah Reiszel saved 15 shots in defeat.

Stillwater 10   Berlin/New Lebanon 0

Seven Stillwater players rang the bell with six strikes coming before halftime in Stillwater’s one-sided decision over B/NL on Tuesday.

Bridget Coon, Brooke Hodgson and Kamryn Van Pelt all connected twice with Brooke Coon, Lucy Rubenstein, Finley Bornt and Kamryn VanPelt all adding single tallies in the match.

Emersyn Patenaude assisted on three scores and Brooke Coon set up a pair of scoring strikes for Stillwater.

Ally Liamero needed just one save to post the shutout for the home squad while B/NL keeper Charlie Young saved 15 shots for the visitors.
