
Mechanicville’s Matt Salvadore fired the low round of 72 to earn Co-Medalist honors in Class C/D at the Section II Golf Championships at Fairways of Halfmoon on Tuesday. Included in the round of 72 was a hole-in-one on the 17th by Salvadore.
Joining the Mechanicville junior in the top 30 from the Wasaren League were Cambridge’s Luke MacDougal 75, Tamarac’s Adam Quackenbush 83, Spa Catholic’s John Galarneau and Stillwater’s Tye Morris with rounds of 85, and Spa Catholic’s Mark Mahay and Hoosick Falls’ Jack Shea who carded rounds of 86.
In the team competition LaSalle led the way with the low team score of 234.
Wasaren team scores showed, Mechanicville in seventh place with 260, Hoosick Falls (11) 263, Stillwater (12) 268, Spa Catholic (13) 271, Waterford (16) 273, Tamarac (17) 274, Greenwich (18) 277 and Hoosic Valley (24) 318.
Six Wasaren League players will advance to next Tuesday’s ABCD play-offs.
