Waterford 3 Lake George 0

Waterford scored three times after the break to get past Lake George in the first round of the Waterford Columbus Day Tournament on Saturday.

After a scoreless first half Blake Guertin, at the 56:00 went far post from the top of the 18 for the 1-0 Fordian lead.

Eight minutes later Payton Galuski cashed in on a PK, and Connor Belonga wrapped up the scoring in the 75th minutes, finishing off a corner kick for the 3-0 decision.

Waterford keeper Tristan Philo saved eight shots in earning the shutout, while Lake George goaltender Marty Farrell turned back 19 shots in defeat.

Hoosick Falls 1 Granville 0 OT

The two squads needed overtime to decide things and the Falls did just that when Aiden Eckert found Luke Nicholas who found the back of the net giving the Panthers the home victory over the Golden Horde.

Hoosick Falls freshman keeper Richie Bartholomew combined with the Falls defense to post the shutout.

Saranac 2 Mechanicville 1

Saranac used a pair of second half strikes to get past Mechanicville on Saturday.

Tanner Eiseman scored Mechanicville’s goal in after the break, connecting off a feed from Ella Manning.

Saranac goaltender Addison Castine saved four shots in the win, and Mechanicville keeper Christina Bornt stopped six shots in the loss.
