Stillwater/Spa Catholic ran out to a 28-0 lead after the first frame and coasted from there to the home win over the Rams on Friday.

In the first period, St/Spa quarterback Aidan Callanan threw a touchdown pass to Bryce Petersen and twice connected with John Williams for six, while defensively the home squad added a 21-yard fumble return by Ryan Brown and a safety for points.

In the second quarter Callanan scored on a nine-yard run, and Erick Naze joined the scoring parade with a 47-yard TD romp extending the lead to 42-0 at the break.

In the third Callanan and Brown both ran for touchdowns to close out the scoring.

Callanan finished 4-4 for 55 yards through the air while running for 64 yards on five carries.

Brown led the ground attack with 112 yards gained on 12 totes.

Granville Whitehall 22 Hoosick Falls/Tamarac 20

HF/Tam led 20-16 entering the final period but G/Wh scored the lone touchdown in the fourth quarter to post the road win on Friday.

In the first, HF/Tam quarterback Owen Hart sandwiched a four-yard TD run and a 17-yard scoring strike to Avery Whalen around a rushing score by Granville/Whitehall, staking the home team to a 13-8 lead after one.

After a scoreless second period, Hart opened the third frame finding Blake Baldwin from 16 yards out for six, but the visitors quickly responded with their second rushing touchdown of the night and with the two-point conversion trimmed the lead to 20-16.

Gr/Wh shut down the THF/Tam attack in the fourth while scoring the game-winner on a two-yard run to post the come-from-behind victory.

Hart finished the game 7 of 17 through the air for 128 yards while adding 50 rushing yards on nine carries.

C/S sored 28, first quarter points and added 27 more in the second frame in rolling past W/LG on Saturday in Cambridge.

The home squad got on the board immediately when Jackson Rowland brought the opening kick-off back 80 yards for the score and the rout was on.

C/S quarterback Stephen Yakubec found Rowland, Preston Peabody and Myles Mattson with first-quarter touchdown strikes for the 29-0 cushion.

C/S added four more TD’s in the second stanza all coming on the ground with Franklin Ziehm scoring twice, Abraham Cushing adding a 39-yard scoring run, and Rowland with a 29-yard run for six.

Cambridge/Salem with the win improves to 6-1 on the year.
