Sunday Morning Roundup: Green Tech Nips Tamarac, Witches Top Canjo

Leading Scorers:  GT – Carter Clay 20    Quamiek Smith 13    Giovani Johnson 11        Bengals – Sam Kuiken 22    Braiden Stanfield 10

Key Stat:  Green Tech knocked down 9 of 10, fourth quarter free throws.

Take Away:  In a close game throughout, Green Tech held a 41-37 advantage entering the final frame and held off the Bengals for the win at HVCC.

 

Greenwich 61   Canajoharie 36

Leading Scorers:  Witches – Ryan Ingber 28 3, 3’s    Langston Hall 11 3, 3’s       Canjo – Hyko 9

Key Stat:  The Witches outscored Canjo 23-8 in the third period to take control.

Take Away:  Greenwich, holding a 25-18 lead at the half, put the game away with a big third frame, earning the victory in a Coaches for Cancer event at HVCC.  

 

Mechanicville 43   Corinth 42

Leading Scorers:  Raiders – Tanner Eiseman 14    Molly DiSiena 13    

Key Stat:  Mechanicville jumped out to a 13-7 lead after one.

Take Away:  The Raiders won just the opening quarter but rode the six-point cushion to the narrow victory over Corinth on Saturday.  

 

Hoosick Fall 32   Waterford 30

Leading Scorers:  Falls – Hickey 15        Fordians – Galka 8

Key Stat:  The Falls closed the game out on a 15-8 run over the final 4:50.  

Take Away:  Hoosick Falls trailed 22-17 midway thru the fourth but rallied to post the come-from-behind “W” over Waterford.  

 

Tamarac 43   Cobleskill 33

Leading Scorers:  Bengals – Liz Darling 21    Raegan Sorel 10

Take Away:  Tamarac moves to 2-0 with the win over Cobleskill at HVCC on Sunday.
