Key Stat: The Black Horses outscored Spa Catholic 35-29 over the middle two periods.

Take Away:  In an even game throughout where both teams hit nine triples, and attempted just four free throws in the contest, Schuylerville carried a 44-40 lead into the fourth quarter and hung on for the road win. 

Hoosick Falls 55   Scotia 38

Leading Scorers:  Falls – Ryan Sparks 19    Spencer Tate 13 3,3’s    Austin Cavanaugh 12        Scotia – Cruz 13

Key Stat:  The Falls took control over the middle two frames outscoring Scotia 39-13.

Take Away:  Hoosick Falls, trailing 10-9 after the first eight minutes ran away from Scotia for the win in the consolation game of the Kirvin Cup at Mohonasen.   The Panthers move to 5-3 on the year with the victory.

Cambridge 72   Bishop Gibbons 51

Leading Scorers:  Cambridge – Myles Matteson 28    Luke MacDougall 14         BG – Rucker 20

Key Stat:  Cambridge jumped out to a 22-8 lead at the end of the first.

Take Away:  Cambridge led 36-28 at the break and pulled away after intermission with Matteson scoring 21 of his game-high 28 points to lead the way.  

Cambridge 48   KIPP 35

Leading Scorers:  Lexie Petersen 18        KIPP – Powell 27

Key Stat:  Cambridge held Kipp to six points in the first half.

Take Away:  Cambridge took control with a 17-2 second frame and posted the comfortable victory in the Argyle Christmas Tournament on Tuesday.

Granville 47   Spa Catholic 41

Leading Scorers:  Golden Horde – Paige Taylor 15    Mackenzie Martell 14          Saints – Sophia Davis 23

Key Stat:  Granville led 15-3 after eight minutes of play.

Take Away:  Trailing by double-digits early, the Saints trimmed the deficit to 30-25 entering the fourth quarter, where Granville hung on to earn the “W”.

Mechanicville 39   Burnt Hills 32

Leading Scorers:  Raiders – Olivia Dowd 15

Key Stat:  More than half of Mechanicville’s points came from the charity stripe where they converted 20 of 30 attempts.  

Take Away:  Mechanicville parlayed a good defensive effort, holding BH to three single digit quarters, and solid shooting for the stripe into the victory at home on Tuesday.

Coxsackie-Athens 66   Tamarac 39

Leading Scorers: CA – Briski 31         Bengals – Becky Barbera 15 3, 3’s

Key Stat:  Coxsackie won every quarter.

Take Away:  The visitors from Coxsackie steadily pulled away for the road win led by Briski’s 31-point effort. 

Lansingburgh 70   Tamarac 53

Leading Scorers:  Burgh – Carson Genevieve 21   Josiah Acevedo 17   Terrance Allen 16        Bengals – Sam Kuiken 19

Take Away:  The Burgh used balanced scoring and a good defensive effort to notch the home win over a depleted Tamarac squad.
