Key Stat:  Cambridge won every quarter and opened things up after the break outscoring the Falls 32-13 in the second half.

Wasaren Sportsnet Player of the Week

Congratulations to Hoosick Falls basketball player Jon Kempf on being named Wasaren Sportsnet Player of the Week.

This past week Kempf put together some outstanding numbers over a three game span.  Starting on December 28th the Panther junior scored 25 points including 14 of 16 from the foul line in 68-42 win over Ravena.

On January 2nd Kempf dropped 31 points and converted on 18 of 21 from the stripe in a 77-44 victory over Mt. Anthony.

Rounding out the week on Friday the 6’1″ forward handed Greenwich 25 points in the Panthers 67-45 win over the Witches.

A handful of league squads played nonleague contests on Wednesday night with the Hoosick Falls boys posting another victory to run their season mark to 7-0.

Looking forward to our next Wasaren Sportsnet basketball broadcast on Friday night when the Bengals of Tamarac travel to Mechanicville to take on the Red Raiders in what figures to be a great girls run.

Next week we’ll be in Cambridge on Wednesday for the Hoosick Falls / Cambridge boys and back in Mechanicville on Friday night when the Red Raiders will entertain Cambridge in a boys tip.

With nine scheduled broadcasts remaining in the regular season we’re looking for businesses interested in advertising on game night.  Message me on our Wasaren Sportsnet Facebook page, or email at rjlzeke59@gmail.com for information regarding our advertising packages.
