M/HV ran for 392 yards on 40 carries and four touchdowns.

In a scoreless game at the break, the Black Horses split the posts three times in the second half to pull away from Tamarac in a Class B opening round match on Thursday.

In the Class C/D, Section II golf sectionals on Tuesday at Fairways of Halfmoon Mechanicville’s Logan Starks fired the low round of 78, leading Mechanicville to a second-place finish, just two strokes behind the winning Schuylerville squad.
In a format where each team sends four golfers to compete with the lowest three scores used to determine team score, Mechanicville finished tied with Voorheesville at +39 (255) but bested the Blackbirds using the scores of the fourth golfers to break the tie.
The top five teams included Schuylerville 253, Mechanicville 255, Voorheesville 255, Hoosick Falls 266, and Cobleskill at 268.
Individually, Starks showed the way with his round of 78 followed by Schuylerville’s Ryken Riper and Voorheesville’s Brady Carrow with 80’s and Hoosick Falls’ Aiden Fleming with a round of 83 who finished in a three-way tie for fourth place.

Nursing a one score lead at the break, the Witches put the match away with a pair of second half tallies in earning the home win over the Valley on Tuesday.
Greenwich broke on top late in the first half when Sam Palacios connected off a Wyatt Skiff feed for the 1-0 advantage.
Four minutes into the second half the Witches Brendan McClay found the side of the net on an unassisted tally, giving Greenwich a two-score lead.
Late in the half Hudson Logan capped the scoring finishing a find from Johnny Morency for the third Greenwich goal of the match.

In the consolation game of the Mechanicville Fall Classic, the host squad trailed 1-0 after one half of play but connected on a pair of second half scoring strikes to post the come-from-behind “W” over Burnt Hills.
Ethan Raucci scored the equalizer, and Scotty Lynch found the range with the eventual game-winner for Mechanicville.

In the championship game of the Columbus Day Tournament, Waterford, nursing a 1-0 lead at the break, exploded for five, second half scores to pull away from Corinth and earn the victory.
Payton Galuski gave the Fordians a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute, finishing a Mason Noto find and Waterford took that advantage into the halftime break.
After intermission Waterford took control connecting on three goals in a three-minute span.
In the 50th minute it was Connor Belonga finding the back of the net off a Logan Sheehan feed, one minute later Belonga doubled down, this time off a thru pass from Galuski. and just two minutes later Mason Noto capped the scoring flurry, cleaning up a rebound on the goal line for a 4-0 Fordian lead.
Sam Caulkins joined the party in the 61st minute with a header off a Galuski corner kick, and Blake Guertin closed out the night’s scoring for Waterford with an unassisted tally in the 65th minute.
Fordian keeper Logan Kelly saved six shots and with the Waterford defense posted the clean sheet.

Mechanicville, trailing in the match came from behind to force overtime where eventually the game was decided on penalty kicks with L/C coming away with the win in the Mechanicville Soccer Classic.
Scotty Lynch scored twice, and Ethan Raucci connected once for Mechanicville, while Ethan Quadrini with a pair of goals and Esiah Bodnaruk with a single strike led L/C offensively.
Mechanicville keeper Mark Pingelski saved eight shots in the game while L/C keeper Liam Deeb turned way 12 Mechanicville attempts in the match.
On Senior night in Mechanicville the host squad quickly erased any thoughts of a Crane upset, running out to a commanding 39-0 advantage at the break and cruising to the one-sided “W” to remain unbeaten at 6-0 on the year.

HF/Tam used a balanced offensive attack throwing for 178 yards and rushing for 150 yards more in the road win over Scotia.
Wildcat quarterback Sam Fauler completed 10 of 18 attempts for 178 yards and three touchdowns.
Riche Stifter led the HF/Tam receiving corp. with 116 yards on seven catches, two for touchdowns including a 39-yard connection with Fauler.
Fauler and Carson Glover combined for more than 100 rushing yards to lead the Wildcat ground attack.
With the win HF/Tam improves to 4-2 on the season.
Hoosick Falls 4 Hoosic Valley 3
In a game that was tight throughout, the Panthers Lionna Zwinge connected in the 75th minute with the eventual game-winner lifting the Falls to the home win over the Valley on Friday night.
The game was tied 2-2 at the break with the Valley’s Kaleigh Knickerbocker and Hannah Coffin tallying for the visitors and the Falls’ Emma Waugh hitting on a pair of goals for the host squad.
After the break Hoosick Falls took the in 3-2 lead on Waugh’s third goal of the match before the Hawks knotted things on Coffin’s second scoring strike, that coming in the 70th minute, setting up the deciding score from Zwinge.

The Witches used a pair of goals from Taylor Poovey, a single scoring strike by Eliza McQueen and a shutout performance by the Greenwich defense to earn the win over the Bengals.

In a scoreless game at the break, Stillwater connected on the lone goal of the match when Brooke Coon finished an Ashley Coffey find, which proved just enough for Stillwater in the nonleague win over Lake George.

Waterford keeper Isabella Ramundo saved eight shots in the game, while Cambridge keeper Lexi Pedersen turned back 28 Fordian attempts.
