Key Stat:  Hoosic Valley held a 10-3 advantage in made threes.

Take Away:  Holding a slim 42-39 lead entering the final frame, the Valley, led by Wiley’s 10-point period, held off the visitors from Mechanicville.

Hoosick Falls 83   Greenwich 31

Leading Scorers:  Panthers – Carson Glover 35, 8 3’s   Richie Stifter 14        Witches – Cal Curtis 8

Key Stat:  The Falls held a 14-2 edge in made triples.

Take Away:  Hoosick Falls outscored the Witches 54-10 over the middle two periods in rolling the the one-sided decision at home.

Stillwater 77   Spa Catholic 51

Leading Scorers:  Stillwater – Jaxon Mueller 30   Lukas Lilac 16   Kealan Leak 10        Saints – Tyker Hicks 19   Aidan Crowther 16, 4 3’s

Key Stat:  A 26-7 second quarter gave Stillwater control.

Take Away:  Stillwater used a 48-point first half and a 30-point night by Mueller to earn the road win over the Saints.  

Tamarac 53   Cambridge 38

Ket Stat:  Tamarac held their hosts to single scoring numbers in three of the four frames. 

Take Away:  Tamarac won every quarter and eased away from Cambridge for the road “W”.

Greenwich 65   Tamarac 29    (Thursday)

Key Stat:  Greenwich had 18 steals in the game.

Take Away:  The Greenwich pressure turned Tamarac over repeatedly fueling the Witches comfortable road win, their 15th “W” in as many outings.

Key Stat:  The Saints used a 17-12 third period to build an eight-point lead heading into the final frame.

Take Away: In a close game throughout that saw both teams put three players in doubles, and shoot the three-ball well, the Saints held off the Falls late to earn the road win.

Take Away:  Stillwater built a 36-19 advantage by the break and held off the visitors from Mechanicville.

Wednesday Night Hoops; Panthers Down Saints

Leading Scorers:  Falls – Andrew Sparks 24, 5 3’s   Carson Glover 13        Saints – Ryan Ryan Gillis 15   Ryan Hicks 10

Key Stat:  The Panthers made more free throws (14), than Spa Catholic attempted (11).

Take Away:  Trailing 12-8 after the first frame, Hoosick Falls won each of the final three periods to catch, pass, and defeat the Saints for the home win.  

Tuesday Night Hoops

Mechanicville 56   LaSalle 40

Key Stat:  Mechanicville ran out to a 17-6 lead after one period.

Take Away:  Mechanicville built a 28-13 halftime lead and rode that cushion to the road win over LaSalle.

Key Stat:  Stillwater held their guests to single scoring numbers in every quarter. 

Take Away:  Stillwater earns the nonleague “W” behind a dominant defensive effort and move to 6-3,12-4 on the year.

Take Away:  In a high scoring affair between intrastate rivals, Hoosick Falls put three players in doubles, hit ten times from behind the arc, and used clutch free throw shooting down the stretch to get past the Patriots of Mount Anthony.

Take Away:  Mechanicville built a 49-17 lead by the break and cruised to the nonleague win over Lake George, in moving to 12-2, 8-2 on the year.

Key Stat:  Lansingburgh outscored their hosts 21-12 over the final eight minutes.

Take Away:  The Burgh rides a big night from Green and a 21-point fourth to the road win over Stillwater.

Take Away:  The Witches led 38-26 at halftime and put the game away with 33, third quarter points.  Greenwich put four players in doubles and bottomed 10 triples in moving to 14-0, 7-0 on the season.
