Take Away:  Stillwater puts four players in doubles and after an even first quarter cruised to the home “W”, moving to 18-2 on the year.

Key Stat:  Cambridge gained control with an 11-3 third period.

Take Away:  Cambridge led 33-19 after three frames and closed out the home victory over the Fordians.

Key Stat:   The Valley held Hudson to single scoring numbers in three of the four quarters.

Take Away:  Hoosic Valley ran out to a 23-6 lead after the first eight minutes and rolled to the nonleague win over Hudson to finish their regular season at 10-10.

Key Stat:  The Valley held Emma Willard to single scoring numbers in each of the first three periods.  

Take Away:  Hoosic Valley built a 44-21 advantage through three frames in cruising to the win in Schaghticoke.  The Valley featured a balanced attack nearly putting four players in doubles in the “W”.

Greenwich Girls, Hoosick Falls Boys Earn Wasaren Championships

Key Stat:  Greenwich took control with a 24-6 second frame.

Take Away:  After an even first period, Greenwich dominated the rest of the way in claiming the Wasaren title for the fourth straight season.  The Witches extend their remarkable unbeaten streak in Wasaren play to 59 and remain undefeated on the season at 20-0.

Key Stat:  The Falls connected on 19 of 29 from the charity stripe, while the Saints converted 9 of 11 attempts.

Take Away:  Holding a 40-38 advantage entering the final frame, Hoosick Falls held the Saints to seven points over the final eight minutes, posting the “W” in the Wasaren championship run.  Hoosick Falls completes its regular season at 17-3 and Spa Catholic enters the post season with an 18-2 mark.

Key Stat: Mechanicville held Greenwich to 10 points in the first half.

Take Away: Mechanicville put the game away with a 25-point third quarter on a night where Cruz Goverski joins the 1000 career point club, the eighth player in Mechanicville history.

Key Stat: Tamarac won every quarter including a 24-4 fourth frame.

Take Away: The Bengals built a 24-10, halftime lead and slowly pulled away for the home win in a boys crossover game.

Stillwater Tops Tamarac in Girls Crossover Tilt

Key Stat:  Stillwater outscored the Bengals 21-9 in the third frame.

Take Away:  Leading 20-17 at the break, Stillwater took control with a pivotal third period and closed things out from there to earn the win in a Wasaren crossover game Thursday night.  

Stillwater completes their regular season at 11-2, 18-2 while Tamarac wraps their regular season with a 9-4, 14-6 mark.

Take Away:  Stillwater won every quarter in cruising to the home win led by Thornton who dropped 35 including seven hits from deep.

Key Stat:  Mechanicville held a 10-1 advantage in made threes.

Take Away:  Mechanicville built a 36-15 lead by the break and coasted to the nonleague “W” on their home floor Wednesday night.

Take Away:  Trailing 29-26 entering the final eight minutes, Cambridge used the biggest offensive quarter of the night to earn the road win, despite a 30-point effort from the Jesters Opoku.
