Friday Night Roundup: HF/Tamarac Notches Win

Hoosick Falls/Tamarac 40   Gloversville 26

After a scoreless first period HF/Tam built a 20-12 lead by halftime and took control with a pair of touchdowns to start the third frame on their way to the road win over Gloversville.

Wildcat Sam Fauler threw for four touchdowns and ran for another in the victory finding Richie Stifter on a 56-yard strike, Ryan Sparks from 14-yards out, Carson Glover on a 34-yard connection and Trent Benedict for a 20-yard TD reception.  

Fauler finished 11 of 14 for 198 yards on the night.

Glover led the HF/T ground game rushing for 76 yards including a 29-yard scoring run.

 

Waterford 5   Hoosick Falls 1

Mia O’Brien’s hat trick led the way in the Fordians road win over the Panthers on Friday.

Riley Noto and Emily Fannif added single tallies in the victory for Waterford, while Lilliona Zwinge scored the Falls’ lone goal with a second half strike. 

 

Tamarac 4   Cambridge 0 

Emme Fitzgerald with a pair of goals and Kylie Gross and Kendall Bulson with single tallies led the Bengals past Cambridge Friday at Clum’s Corners.

Tamarac keepers Emily Roadcap and Lily Onorato combined for the clean sheet in the match.  

 

Hoosic Valley 2   Emma Willard 1

The Valley scored a goal in each half and kept the Jesters off the board until the final minute of the match in posting the home “W” in Schaghticoke.

The hosts first tally came with 14:28 left in the first half on a Kaylee Smith header off an Ashleigh Herrington find, giving the Valley a 1-0 advantage that they carried into the break.

In the second half Gracyn Gates found Hannah Coffin who finished for the 2-0 Hawk lead.

Emma Willard avoided the shutout when Haruro Segawa split the posts with a minute left in the game.

 

Mechanicville 4   Greenwich 0

Leading 1-0 at the break, Mechanicville took control scoring three times after intermission in notching the home “W” over the Witches of Greenwich on Friday night. 

Maddie Hopeck with a pair of goals, and Ava Gaspie and Gianna Pitts with single strikes led the Mechanicville attack.

Keeper Ava Grimmick saved two shots and combined with the Mechanicville defense for the shutout.

With the win Mechanicville improves to 7-0-1 on the year.

 

 

Wednesday Roundup: Mechanicville Golf Moves to 12-0

Mechanicville 5   Waterford 0

Nate Salvadore fired a one-under par 36 to lead all golfers and Mechanicville past Waterford in action at Fairways of Halfmoon on Wednesday. 

Other top scores for Mechanicville included Lack Salvadore 37, Matt Salvadore 39, and Logan Starks and Ben Amato with rounds of 40.

Scores for Waterford included Landon Pitcher 42, Jonny Atwood 43, Evan Cavosie 45, and Tanner Machia with a round of 49.

With the win Mechanicville moves to 12-0 on the year while Waterford slips to 3-9 on the season.  

Hoosick Falls 5   Cambridge/Salem 0

The Panthers Aidan Flemming and Brady Mann shared medalist honors with rounds of 35 in the Falls win at the Hoosick Falls Country Club.

Dykan Callahan, Jack Shea and Aidyn DeGraaf all picked up wins for Hoosick Falls in the match who improve to 8-1 with the victory.   

Chatham 2   Greenwich 0

Chathams’ Addison Perry scored a goal in each half, the second coming with seconds remaining to lead Chatham to the home “W” over the Witches of Greenwich 

Berlin/New Lebanon 3   Cambridge 0

B/NL built a 1-0 lead by halftime and added two more strikes after the break to notch the road win over the Tigers.

Madison Bell, Anna Hart, and Haylee Jones all found the back of the net for B/NL and keeper Shorter saved three shots in the shutout.

Cambridge keeper Lexie Petersen saved 17 attempts in the match.  

Mechanicville 9   Emma Willard 0

Mechanicville ran out to a 4-0 advantage by intermission and connected five more times in the second half, cruising to the road win over the Jesters.

Gianna Pitts with three goals, Maddy Hopeck and Madison Daley with two scores each and Ava Gaspie and Emma Andrews with single tallies led the Mechanicville assault.

Mechanicville keeper Ava Grimmick saved two shots and combined with the Mechanicville defense for the clean sheet.  

With the win Mechanicville goes to 6-0-1 on the season.  

 

Stillwater 8   Hoosick Falls 0

Stillwater raced out to a 5-0 halftime advantage and coasted to the win over the Panthers of Hoosick Falls.

Elliot Patenaude, Brooke Hodgson and Bridget Coon all connected for a pair of goals with Emersyn Patenaude and Lucy Rubenstein adding single scoring strikes for Stillwater.  

Stillwater keepers Miranda Price and Ally Liamero combined with the Stillwater defense for the shutout.
