The Hoosick Falls Panthers and the Indians of Hoosic Valley took the floor in Averill Park Wednesday night two of the remaining four teams in the girls Class B bracket.  Wins by both squads would set up an all Wasaren final on Saturday. 

Their opponents, Glens Falls for the Valley, and Voorheesville for the Falls had other ideas, and at night’s end the Wasaren split with Hoosick Falls 54-45 winners, and Hoosic Valley falling to Glens Falls 39-28.

Key Stat: A 23-6 second period for the Panthers gave them a 30-14 edge at the half, and clutch free throw shooting throughout ( 22 of 35) paved the way to the finals for the Falls.

Key Stat: In a night where defense was king, neither squad scored double digits in a period until the final frame where an 18-11 advantage for Glens Falls sealed the win for the Indians.  On the night Glens Falls scored 20 of their 39 points from the free throw line, while the Valley converted just four times from the stripe.
