Four Wasaren players were recipients of the Scholar Athlete Award on Monday evening at the 28th annual awards dinner hosted by the Capital District chapter of the National Football Foundation.

The Scholar-Athlete Award honors seniors for their excellence both in the classrooms and on the football field.

Michael Romack of Cambridge, Lukas Whitehouse of Greenwich, Kellan Skott of Hoosick Falls and Jeff Carrozza of Hoosic Valley received the award at the event held at the Radisson Turf Inn in Colonie.

Also recognized was Greenwich head football coach Brandon Linnett who was honored with the Class C Coach of the Year award.
