The Greenwich baseball team needed a win on Thursday in Granville to clinch the Wasaren title and Lukas Whitehouse made it happen. The senior pitcher threw a no-hitter while striking out nine as Greenwich posted an 11-0 victory to claim the league crown with a 13-1 mark.
On the softball side of things Greenwich and Hoosic Valley were both victorious and will share the Wasaren title with identical 12-2 records.

Key Stat: Stillwater scored all eight of their runs in the bottom of the fourth to earn the victory and finish with a 4-10 mark in league play.
Softball

Leading Hitters: Witches – Sabrina Whitehouse 4-4, Rachel Hall 2 1b’s, Horde – Gabby Hunt 1b, 2b
Key Stat: Greenwich led 5-0 after three frames giving Hall more than enough run support for the “W”.
Hoosic Valley 7 Cambridge 0
Winning Pitcher: Camille Coyne 9 K’s

Key Stat: A five run first paved the way for the Valley, as they clinch a share of the Wasaren title, their first since 2008.
