Congratulations go out to Tamarac’s Jake Scharnott, our newest Wasaren Sportsnet Player of the Week.

Jake enjoyed a trio of multiple hit games this week in addition to picking up a win from the mound.

The junior Bengal went 3-5 with a double in a 10-8 win over Hoosick Falls, 2-5 with two runs scored in a 17-3 victory over Berne-Knox, and finished the week going 2-4 with a double and two RBI’s in a 5-4 loss to Greenwich.

From the bump Jake threw a gem against the first place Saratoga Catholic Saints.  The right-hander went the distance allowing no earned runs while fanning six in the Bengals 4-1 “W”.
