Take Away:  Mullen dominates from the circle, the Witches played error free defensively and every batter in the Greenwich lineup had a hit and/or an RBI in the win.

Take Away: Tamarac pounded 17 hits on the day with five Bengals enjoying multiple hit outings. Tamarac moves to 5-0, 4-0 with the win.

Take Away:  Three Mechanicville pitchers combined for the one-hitter with nine K’s, while seven Red Raiders had two hits or more in the one-sided decision over the Jesters.

Take Away:  Leading 7-4 after three frames, Stillwater exploded for 13 runs over the final two innings to notch the five-inning affair in Schaghticoke.

Take Away:  Greenwich ripped 21 hits over six innings, scoring in every frame led by Ingber who had a great week on a Wednesday afternoon in New Lebanon.

Take Away:  The Valley pushed across a run in the top of the seventh to knot things at 4-4, setting up Ziehm’s heroics who plated Eli King in the bottom half of the frame for the walk-off victory.

Take Away:  Waterford took a 6-1 lead with a four-run fourth and Fordian pitchers Gilbert and Matt Soden combined to shut down the Warriors in the road victory on Tuesday.

Take Away:  Taconic Hills took the lead in the second and held it throughout in posting the nonleague win over the Witches.

Take Away:  In a game played at Schenectady’s Central Park A Diamond as part of a Coaches vs. Cancer event, the Falls broke a 3-3 tie with three runs in the fourth and extended their advantage with a six-run fifth, on their way to the “W” in the high-scoring contest.  With the win the Panthers improve to 2-5 on the year while Mechanicville suffers their first loss of the season and moves to 7-1 overall.  

 

Softball

Take Away:  In a matchup that needed 10 innings to decide, Toni DeLorenzo ripped an RBI single in the top of the 10th frame, giving Tamarac a 3-2 lead and Collins, and the Bengal “D” closed things out in the bottom half for the nonleague win over the Blue Bison of Shaker. With the win Tamarac improves to 3-0, 4-0 on the season.

 

Bengals, Raiders Earn Diamond “W’s”

Take Away:  Tamarac scored two in the top of the eighth and hung on for the nonleague win over Coxsackie. Bengals starting pitcher Owen Blakesley threw a strong seven innings allowing one run on two hits before handing the ball to Sears who closed things out in the eighth.
