
Hoosick Falls’ Aiden Fleming fired the low round of one-under 71 on Tuesday in the Sectional II Class C/D Tournament at Fairways of Halfmoon to claim medalist honors. Aiden along with 13 other golfers from Class C/D will move on to compete in the next round of the state qualifier on Tuesday 10/17 against 10 golfers from Class B and the top 25% from Class A.
In team competition, where the top three golfers scores are totaled, Schuylerville with a score of 244 won the C/D classification while Mechanicville and Hoosick Falls both scored 265 but Mechanicville won the tiebreaker to place second with the Panthers finishing third.
Waterford 1 Stillwater 0
In a match played Tuesday night in Stillwater with scoring opportunities hard to come by, the Fordians Peyton Galuski, off a feed from sister Abby, connected for the only goal of the match and the Waterford defense made it stand, as the Fordians prevailed with the narrow “W” over Stillwater.
Waterford keeper Maddy Atwood saved four shots in the win while Stillwater keepers Miranda Price and Charisma Salecker both stopped three Fordian attempts.
Berlin/New Lebanon 3 Hoosic Valley 0
The Mountain Lions held a 1-0 lead at intermission and added a pair of tallies after the break to post the home victory over the Valley on Senior Night.
Late in the first half Anna Hart put away a deflected shot from Haylee Jones giving the home squad the 1-0 advantage.
After the break Jones extended the lead on an unassisted strike that found the upper corner, and later Jones connected on the final score of the match off a nice find from Riley Robertson.
The Mountain Lions will wrap up their regular season on Thursday facing Hoosick Falls on the road.

Mekeel Christian put the game away with five, second half goals, led by Hannah Wilkinson who finished with a hat trick.
Grace Shaefer tallied after the break for the Saints only score.
Cambridge 2 Coxsackie-Athens 1
Cambridge used a pair of unassisted goals form Ashley Moses and Nicole Robinson to get past Coxsackie-Athens on Monday.
Lexi Pedersen saved seven shots for Cambridge in the win.
