Key Stat:  Stillwater worked their way to the line 26 times, converting 12, while Mohonasen made four trips to the stripe connecting twice.

Take Away:  The Warriors put three players in doubles and controlled the contest, winning the first three periods and carrying a 14-point cushion into the final frame before closing things out with the “W” over Class A Mohonasen.

Key Stat:  Greenwich took charge with a 17-4 first period.

Take Away:  Greenwich won every quarter, bottomed five triples, and had three players reach double figures in the comfortable nonleague win over Hartford.

Take Away:  Glens Falls built a 25-15 halftime lead and rode a strong defensive effort to the win in the Glens Falls Holiday Tournament.

Key Stat:  Scotia opened with an 18-5 first period.

Take Away:  Scotia nursed the cushion they built in the first eight minutes, to the victory in the Kirvin Cup Tournament at Mohonasen.  The Falls connected six times from beyond the arc and outscored Scotia over the final three quarters of play.

Key Stat:  The Tigers held a 7-2 advantage in made threes.

Take Away:  U-E built a 42-20 halftime lead and held off the Bengals over the final two frames which saw Tamarac outscore their Class A hosts from Section IV, 44-38.  Tamarac returns to action one week from tonight when they’ll travel to Bethlehem to face the Eagles of the Suburban Council in a nonleague run.

Key Stat: The Patriots held the Falls to single numbers in three of the four quarters.

Take Away: Broadalbin Perth put’s four players in doubles and shuts down the Falls attack in posting the comfortable victory over the Panthers.

Take Away: Stillwater slowly pulled away building a 37-21 advantage after three periods and closed things out for road win.

Key Stat: Hoosick Falls made more free throws than the Bulldogs attempted converting 17 of 29 from the line, while SGF connected on 7 of 12 from the stripe.

Take Away: The Panthers trailed 26-22 at the break but outscored the Bulldogs 27-20 over the final two frames to notch the victory in round one of the Glens Falls Holiday Tournament.

Girls Hoops: Bengals Nip Red Raiders, Fordians, Warriors Cruise

Key Stat:  The only period Tamarac won was a 17-7 second frame.  

Take Away:  In a defensive battle, close throughout the Bengals led 22-16 at halftime and held on for the home victory, moving to 3-0, 3-1 on the season.

Take Away:  The Warriors cruised holding the Saints to 18 total points while scoring 21 points themselves in the first period.  With the road win Stillwater improves to 2-2, 2-3 on the season.

Take Away:  Cambridge combined a good defensive effort with three double, digit scorers to notch the victory in Schaghticoke.  With the win Cambridges improves to 2-1, 3-2 on the year.

Key Stat: Tamarac gained control with a 29-9 second quarter.

Take Away: The Bengals won every period, put four players in doubles with two more netting nine points, in rolling past the Raiders for the road win.

Take Away: Stillwater used a big defensive effort on the night and took control with a 24-point second period coasting to the road “W” over the Saints.

Take Away: In a close, long-range shootout where the two squads combined to drain 30, 3-pointers, the Patriots hit one of two free throws with six seconds left to take the lead. The Falls advanced the ball to midcourt and took a timeout with three seconds remaining, setting up two inside looks at the game-winner with neither one falling.
