Girls Hoops: Bengals Nip Red Raiders, Fordians, Warriors Cruise

Leading Scorers:  Bengals – Abbie Yetto 11  3 3’s         Red Raiders – Sophia Tamasi 8

Key Stat:  The only period Tamarac won was a 17-7 second frame.  

Take Away:  In a defensive battle, close throughout the Bengals led 22-16 at halftime and held on for the home victory, moving to 3-0, 3-1 on the season. 

 

Waterford 49   Berlin/New Lebanon 16

Leading Scorers:  Fordians – Maddy Atwood 16      Izzy Vecchio 12      Rachel McOmber 19        Mountaineers – McKenzie Krause 5

Key Stat:  Waterford held the Mountaineers to single numbers in every quarter.

Take Away:  The Fordians put three in doubles and shut down the Berlin/New Lebanon attack in moving to 4-3 on the year with the home “W”.   

 

Stillwater 55   Saratoga Catholic 18

Leading Scorers:  Warriors – Addison Thornton 19  5 3’s        Saints – Addison Whitbeck 8

Key Stat:  Stillwater held a 9-0 advantage in made threes.  

Take Away:  The Warriors cruised holding the Saints to 18 total points while scoring 21 points themselves in the first period.  With the road win Stillwater improves to 2-2, 2-3 on the season.  

 

Cambridge 53   Hoosic Valley 23

Leading Scorers:  Cambridge – Schuylar Nolan 22  3 3’s      Sam Crandall 15  3 3’s      Tristan Crandall 10         Indians – Hannah Coffin 5

Key Stat:  Cambridge put the game away with a 19-1 third quarter.

Take Away:  Cambridge combined a good defensive effort with three double, digit scorers to notch the victory in Schaghticoke.  With the win Cambridges improves to 2-1, 3-2 on the year.
