Key Stat: The Valley made more free throws than Crane attempted converting on 11 of 20, while Crane was 4 of 7 from the stripe.
Take Away: Hoosic Valley trailed 31-25 at the break, took a one-point lead after three and closed things out over the final eight minutes to win the Championship of the Maple Hill Hoopfest on Friday night. The Indians put three players in double figures, drilled six triples in the contest and placed two players on the all-tourney team with Isaiah Eckler and Logan Reilly, MVP of the tournament, being selected. With the win the Valley moves to 6-0 on the year and will return to action on Tuesday night when they’ll pay a visit to the Fordians of Waterford.

Key Stat: Schuylerville held a 6-2 advantage in made threes.
Take Away: In a close game throughout Schuylerville took a 52-50 lead into the final frame and held on for the home victory over the Witches.

Key Stat: Greenwich opened with a 27-4 first period.
Take Away: The Witches continue to roll, improving to 6-0 this season, and over that span this 28-point margin of victory is the closest game they’ve had.

Key Stat: Hoosic Valley shutout the Burgh in the first quarter.
Take Away: Hoosic Valley finishes third in the Maple Hill Hoopfest and places Lainey Bochette on the all-tourney team.

The Valley won every quarter and put three players in doubles in notching the comfortable “W”, moving to 5-0 on the season and advancing to tonight’s championship game, where they’ll face the winner of Maple Hill/Ichabod Crane in a 7:30 tip.

Take Away: The Bengals ride a strong defensive effort to the first-round win over the Valley in the Maple Hill Holiday Hoopfest, advancing to today’s championship game at 4:30 while Hoosic Valley will play in the consolation tilt at 3 p.m.

Key Stat: Stillwater worked their way to the line 26 times, converting 12, while Mohonasen made four trips to the stripe connecting twice.
Take Away: The Warriors put three players in doubles and controlled the contest, winning the first three periods and carrying a 14-point cushion into the final frame before closing things out with the “W” over Class A Mohonasen.

Take Away: Spa Catholic, behind a big night from Duscher, wins the championship of the 47th annual Saratoga Catholic Christmas Tournament.
Key Stat: Scotia opened with an 18-5 first period.
Take Away: Scotia nursed the cushion they built in the first eight minutes, to the victory in the Kirvin Cup Tournament at Mohonasen. The Falls connected six times from beyond the arc and outscored Scotia over the final three quarters of play.

Key Stat: The Tigers held a 7-2 advantage in made threes.
Take Away: U-E built a 42-20 halftime lead and held off the Bengals over the final two frames which saw Tamarac outscore their Class A hosts from Section IV, 44-38. Tamarac returns to action one week from tonight when they’ll travel to Bethlehem to face the Eagles of the Suburban Council in a nonleague run.
