Wasaren Sportsnet is pleased to announce Greenwich’s Lily McCauliffe as our newest Wasaren Sportsnet Player of the Week.
Last Friday Lily was simply perfect, throwing a perfect game in a 7-0 victory over Hoosic Valley. McCauliffe dominated with 19 strikeouts in the gem, which as a side note, happened to be on Lily’s birthday.

Take Away: King and Rowe hooked up in a pitcher’s duel where the lone run of the contest came in the fourth when the Valley scored on catcher’s interference with the bases loaded. The Saints threatened with runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out in the final frame, before King fanned the last two batters, securing the road win for the Hoosic Valley.

Take Away: McPhail spins a six-inning no-hitter and enjoys a big day at the plate as well leading the Witches to the one-sided decision over Stillwater and improving Greenwich’s league record to 11-1.
Take Away: In the top of the second Waterford took a 5-0 lead before the Valley stormed back scoring 18 runs over the next four frames to notch the five-inning victory in Schaghticoke.
Wasaren Sportsnet is pleased to announce Mechanicville’s Ryan Grimmick as our Wasaren Sportsnet Player of the Week.
On Monday, in a 13-2 win over Berlin/New Lebanon, Ryan had a pair of singles, a double and two RBI’s in the “W” over the Mountaineers.
On Wednesday in doubleheader sweep of Hoosic Valley, Grimmick picked up both pitching wins and added three hits including a double and an RBI at the plate in the night cap.
On Saturday Ryan tripled and singled twice, driving in a pair, in the Raiders 11-2 victory over Hoosick Falls.

Take Away: Stillwater scored two runs in the sixth to take a 4-3 lead and held that advantage heading into the bottom of the seventh, where Greenwich mounted the comeback, walking things off on Hamilton’s run scoring single.
