Mechanicville 4 Waterford 1: The Red Raiders built a 2-0 lead by halftime and rode that cushion to the home “W” over neighboring Waterford on Tuesday.

Andrew Kraszewski connected three times on scoring strikes and Wyqie Aguda added a single tally to pace the Mechanicville attack.

Waterford avoided the shutout when Ty Plumley found the back of the net in the second half for the Fordians.

Jake Houle saved 18 shots for Waterford while Raider keeper Glenn Prarie turned back seven shots in the victory that moves Mechanicville to 7-0 on the year.

Berlin/New Lebanon 3 Hoosick Falls 2: In a match where all the scoring happened before the break, the Mountaineers slipped past the visitors from Hoosick Falls.

Kasey Billert with a pair of goals and Wyatt Powers with a single strike led the Berlin/New Lebanon offense.

Connor Jones and Max Archambault both connected for goals to lead the Panthers.

Greenwich 2 Tamarac 1: In a tight match throughout the Witches used single goals in each half to earn the home win over Tamarac on Tuesday.

Josh Poovey staked the Witches to a 1-0 lead at the 14:00 mark off a feed from Miguel Gonzalez and that score stood until Charlie Gartner rang the bell for Greenwich midway through the second half off a Trevor Murray find, giving the Witches a 2-0 advantage.

Rocco DiCarlo got the Bengals on the board with an unassisted tally late in the second half, but the Greenwich “D” held from there to secure the “W”.

Golf

Mechanicville 3 Tamarac 2: Anthony Fiacco carded a 45 to earn medalist honors and lead the Red Raiders past Tamarac in golf action on Tuesday.

Joining Fiacco in the winner’s circle were Joey Manzer, John Breen and Connor Koenig who all claimed individual wins for the Raiders.

Zach Rice and Chris Hernick notched wins in their one-on-one matches for the Bengals.

Girls Soccer

Tamarac 5 Berlin/New Lebanon 0: The Bengals took control with four, first half goals and cruised to the road win over the Mountaineers.

Abby Buckley scored a pair of goals and Vanessa Baldwin, Shannon Ryan and Taylor Smith all added single tallies to lead the Tamarac attack.

Bengal keeper Jenna Hunt saved four shots and combined with the Tamarac “D” for the clean sheet.

Waterford 4 Hoosick Falls 2: In a match played in Waterford on Monday the Fordians used a pair of goals in each half to get past the visitors from Hoosick Falls.

Sophia Belonga connected twice for scores and Cassidy McClement and Ellis Trubridge with single scoring strikes paced the Fordians offensvely.

Ana Salvesvold netted a goal in both halves to lead the Panthers.

Voorheesville 2 Mechanicville 2: In an even match throughout that was knotted 1-1 at the half, the Blackbirds and Raiders battled to a tie in Mechanicville on Monday.

Hailey Gleason and Cailin Johnson with a goal each led the Voorheesville attack, while Amy DiSiena and Ryleigh Hopeck with single tallies paced Mechanicville.

Greenwich 3 Cambridge 1: The Witches broke a 1-1 halftime deadlock with a pair of scores after the break to post the home victory over Cambridge.

A Faith Ingber tally gave the Witches a 1-0 lead early, before the Indians tied things on a Lexi Woodworth scoring strike sending the teams to intermission knotted at 1-1.

After the break Ingber’s second goal of the afternoon put the Witches ahead to stay with Ryan Skiff adding the final tally later in the half for Greenwich.

Stillwater 28 Warrensburg 8: Caleb Dyer scored three touchdowns to lead Stillwater to the comfortable home “W” over Warrensburg.

Dyer rushed for 109 yards on 17 carries and scored on runs of 5 and 8 yards, along with returning a fumble recovery 25 yards for the scoring trifecta.

Warriors quarterback Tyler Paffin connected on 9 of 12 pass attempts for 128 yards and added a rushing touchdown for Stillwater who improves to 1-2 on the season.

Warrensburg’s points came when Zach Carpenter found Andrew Beadnell for a 4-yard touchdown strike, briefly giving the Burghers an 8-0 lead in the first frame.

Greenwich 35 Chatham 16: Greenwich’s Matthew Conlin rushed for 98 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Witches road win over Chatham on Sunday.

Jesse Kuzmich ran for 101 yards, including a 15-yard TD scamper, and also found Jackson Vanderhoff on a 12-yard throw and catch for six.

Alex Curtis put the first points on the board for Greenwich with a 33-yard scoring jaunt in the first period.

Lake George/Hadley Luzerne 27 Cambridge 14: Brendan Lamby caught a pair of touchdown passes and added a rushing TD to lead Lake George/Hadley Luzerne past Cambridge on Saturday.

War Eagles quarterback Cole Clarke found Landry on scoring connections of 41 and 30 yards, part of an 11 of 15 for 150 yards day for the LG/HL quarterback.

The War Eagles led 21-0 late in the second period when Cambridge got on the board with an Eli Danio 2-yard touchdown run and with the two point conversion the Indians closed to 21-8 with 1:23 remaining

But with :04 left in the half Clarke found Lamby on a 30-yard scoring strike sending Lake George/Hadley Luzerne into the break leading 27-8.

Jacob Ruggles capped the game’s scoring with a 2-yard TD run in the final frame for Cambridge.

Mechanicville 6 Tamarac 1: The Red Raiders ran out to a 3-0 halftime lead and cruised to the comfortable victory over the Bengals in Clums Corners on Friday.

TJ Bisallion scored a hat trick for Mechanicville with Colin McNutt adding a pair of scoring strikes and Ryan Grimmick a single tally for the undefeated Raiders.

Tamarac avoided the shutout when Adam Fountain connected for a second half score.

Waterford 3 Hoosick Falls 0: Ty Plumley with a pair of goals and Joshua Catanzarita with a single strike led the Fordians past Hoosick Falls in Waterford on Friday.

Fordian keeper Jake Houle saved eight to earn the shutout.

Cambridge 2 Greenwich 0: Ori Baker-Parazinski found the back of the net twice before the break and that was all the Indians needed to post the road “W” over Greenwich.

Hoosick Falls/Tamarac 45 Coxsackie-Athens 3: Michael D’Agostino threw for three touchdown passes to lead HF/Tam to the road win over Coxsackie.

D”Agostino completed 8 of 12 passes for 199 yards and found three different receivers for scores, connecting with Dylan Baker for a 41 yard score, Bryan Mackey for a 77 yard strike and James Blake on a 42 yard throw and catch.

Panther running back Peyton Nealon rushed for 125 yards on 22 carries and a touchdown, while teammate Josh Colegrove added scoring runs of 25 and 7 yards for HF/Tam who with the win move to 4-0 on the year.

Mechanicville 14 Johnstown 12: In a close game throughout Mechanicville used single scores in the first and final period to slip past Johnstown on Friday.

A Michael Shutters fumble recovery followed by a Luciano D’Ambro two-point conversion run staked the Raiders to an 8-0 lead after the first.

Coxsackie got on the board in the second frame when JC Muress ran it in from two yards out trimming the Mechanicville to 8-6.

After a scoreless third quarter the Raiders extended their cushion when D’Ambro scored on a two-yard tote giving Mechanicville a 14-6 advantage.

Later in the fourth, Muress found J. Benton for a 9-yard touchdown pass, but Coxsackie’s two-point conversion attempt failed and the Raiders came away with the “W”, improving to 3-1 on the season.

Waterford 4 Cambridge 0: The Fordians took control early scoring four times before the break in a comfortable win over Cambridge in Waterford on Thursday.

Addyson Galuski with a pair of goals and Mackenzie Koniszewski and Natalie Rich with single scoring strikes led the Fordian attack.

Waterford keeper Sierra Atwood saved six shots and combined with the Fordian “D” to notch the shutout.

Mechanicville 12 Stillwater 0: It was all Red Raiders in the annual cup game with Mechanicville scoring four goals before the break and adding eight more after intermission in the one-sided win over neighboring rival Stillwater.

Six Red Raiders connected for goals with Colin McNutt and Andrew Kraszewski scoring hat tricks, while Wyqie Aguda and TJ Bisaillon both found the back of the net twice.

Mechanicville keeper Glenn Prarie saved six and combined with the Red Raider “D” for the shutout.

Waterford 3 Berlin/New Lebanon 3: The Fordians and Mountaineers were tied 1-1 after one half of play, and ended the match deadlocked at 3-3 on Wednesday.

Joshua Catanzarita with two goals and Jarron McQuire with a single strike provided the Fordians offense.

Tamarac 6 Hoosick Falls 3: The Bengals exploded for five first half goals and cruised from there to the road victory over the Panthers of Hoosick Falls.

Ethan Brown with two goals and Alex Ednie, Adam Fountain, Xander Gliosco and Nevin Wilkie all with single tallies paced the Bengal attack.

Max Archambault, Connor Powers and Alex Salvesvold all rang the bell with second half goals for the Falls.

Mechanicville 8 Berlin/New Lebanon 0: Six Raiders scored in Mechanicville’s one-sided decision over Berlin/New Lebanon on Tuesday.

Patty Snyder with two goals and three assists, and Madelyn Shakow with a pair of goals led the Raider attack.

Tamarac 2 Waterford 1: The Bengals Jenna Hunt and Bre Evertsen found the back of the net with first half strikes, and the Tamarac defense pitched a shutout after the break in the Bengals narrow victory over the visitors from Waterfod.

Stillwater 5 Berlin/New Lebanon 0: Teya Staie with a pair of goals and Trinity Cutler, Kylie Peacock and Isabella Estill with single strikes led the Warriors past Berlin/New Lebanon on Monday.

Stillwater keeper Kiersten Conroy saved four shots in the shutout, while Kai Krause turned back 19 shots for the Mountaineers.

Luciano D’Ambro threw for a touchdown and added a running score as well to lead Mechanicville to a 20-10 road win over Fonda on Saturday.

D’Ambro gave the Raiders a 6-0 first quarter lead on a 48 yard touchdown run, but in the second frame Fonda responded with a Connor Weaver touchdown pass to Nate Mycek and added a safety in the period to take a 10-6 advantage into the break.

After intermission the Raiders took the lead for good when D’Ambro connected with Kyle Johnson on a 54 yard scoring strike giving Mechanicville a 14-10 lead heading to the final frame.

In the fourth a Mason Angiano 8-yard touchdown run closed things out for the Raiders who with the win improve to 2-1 on the year.

Michael D’Agostino threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for another leading Hoosick Falls/Tamarac past Taconic Hills 38-8 Friday night.

D’Agostino connected with James Blake on a 35-yard scoring strike in the first period and found Dylan Baker for a 15 yard TD in the second frame.

Peyton Nealone added a pair of rushing touchdowns and kicker Andrew Yerdon was good on five point afters and drilled a 28 yard field goal for Hoosick Falls/Tamarac who led 14-0 after the first and 35-0 at the break.

Mechanicville 11 Saratoga Catholic 0: Mechanicville scored eight goals before the break and cruised to the one-sided decision over the Saints in Saratoga on Tuesday.

Six Raiders connected for goals in the match with three players recording multiple tallies. Andrew Kraszewski with three strikes and Glenn Prarie and Colin McNutt with two goals each led the Raider onslaught. Mechanicville finished the contest scoring their final three goals off corner kicks.

Mechanicville keepers Glenn Prarie and Dylan Raucci combined with the Raider “D” for the shutout, the fourth in as many outings for Mechanicville. Along with the suffocating defense, the Raiders have posted double figure scoring in all four contests finding the back of the net 45 times over the four game span.
