Mechanicville 4 Waterford 1: The Red Raiders built a 2-0 lead by halftime and rode that cushion to the home “W” over neighboring Waterford on Tuesday.
Andrew Kraszewski connected three times on scoring strikes and Wyqie Aguda added a single tally to pace the Mechanicville attack.
Waterford avoided the shutout when Ty Plumley found the back of the net in the second half for the Fordians.
Jake Houle saved 18 shots for Waterford while Raider keeper Glenn Prarie turned back seven shots in the victory that moves Mechanicville to 7-0 on the year.
Berlin/New Lebanon 3 Hoosick Falls 2: In a match where all the scoring happened before the break, the Mountaineers slipped past the visitors from Hoosick Falls.
Kasey Billert with a pair of goals and Wyatt Powers with a single strike led the Berlin/New Lebanon offense.
Connor Jones and Max Archambault both connected for goals to lead the Panthers.
Greenwich 2 Tamarac 1: In a tight match throughout the Witches used single goals in each half to earn the home win over Tamarac on Tuesday.
Josh Poovey staked the Witches to a 1-0 lead at the 14:00 mark off a feed from Miguel Gonzalez and that score stood until Charlie Gartner rang the bell for Greenwich midway through the second half off a Trevor Murray find, giving the Witches a 2-0 advantage.
Rocco DiCarlo got the Bengals on the board with an unassisted tally late in the second half, but the Greenwich “D” held from there to secure the “W”.
Golf
Mechanicville 3 Tamarac 2: Anthony Fiacco carded a 45 to earn medalist honors and lead the Red Raiders past Tamarac in golf action on Tuesday.
Joining Fiacco in the winner’s circle were Joey Manzer, John Breen and Connor Koenig who all claimed individual wins for the Raiders.
Zach Rice and Chris Hernick notched wins in their one-on-one matches for the Bengals.
